About Us

In 1989 I was taken on as an apprentice with J & R Jacksons who at the time where based in the village of Bunbury. Working away from home all over the country working mainly on industrial kitchens & canteens. Here I was taught all the different aspects of decorating as well as how to work with other trades & if need be help them out & work as a team. We also had to work to some tight deadlines & so when needed we would work well into the night to get the job done on time. We got work on some special jobs including Harefield Hospital, Battersea Dogs Home, Oxford Polytechnic &  in 1994 the redesign of The Dell restaurant which is set in Hyde Park on the Serpentine lake.

In 1995 I decided that I didn’t want to work away from home any more & so I worked for firm based in Chester again doing industrial work but doing more private work. Again I got to work on some noticeable jobs such as Manchester Airport & the new Marks & Spencers in Chester. In 2000 I was offered a job which was more managing small teams of people by booking in the jobs & then ensuring that they got to the correct jobs. Again this was with a company who had work all over the country so I had to make sure people knew where they were supposed to be & when. Sadly the company closed & I was made redundant in 2009

It was then I was asked by Johnson Building Contractors if I would be interested in painting out a small extension for them, I was more than happy to be back out on the tools even if it was just for a couple of weeks. However they asked if I would consider going self employed & start doing any painting jobs that they had. So I did & I haven’t looked back since, I feel that everything I have learnt since 1989 has really helped me run my own business with the key being make sure the customer is always happy & not let down.
